If you're going to buy 8GB VRAM, you might as well buy a used 1080Ti for $200. You'll get better or the same performance for much less. You'll have to replace it twice in 4 years but you'll end up spending less money because you're going to need to replace that 8GB VRAM card in less than 4 years.
