>Emotional song used in the first game.
>10/10 moments.
>Use it again in the second game as a fucking joke.
>Nobody even understands.

The beach being this mysterious in between of the world of the living and dead was an amazing thing in the first game.

Them turning it into a fucking joke in the second took any and every breath of creativity out and confirmed Kojima has no idea what the fuck he is doing and is just flying by the seat of his pants.

At least we got the Troy version

how does HIggs and Die-hardman even know the song?

the only person alive who knows it, is Sam, only because he viewed the memories of his dad.

and I get why Higgs would use the song, to fuck with Sam.

but why the fuck is Die-hardman singing it here?

Well to be fair, if its something that can be studied and quantified, it was inevitable the beach would become a known quantity and no longer mysterious.

the beach is the collective unconscious
how did you miss this

Honestly, I liked this one, and I wish more story with Troy was told to Sam at the end.

About how he used to be a porter just like Sam until Amelia started influencing him, corrupting and using him.

I mean for fucks sake Die Hardman lied to me in the first game, why would I wanna trust him in the second!

yea its weird, he's such a pivotal character, more so than Amelie, since the games are effectively about Sam, and Higgs, yet.. his backstory is hidden by behind secret data logs in the first game.

>Sam, I found my beach.
>I really have a beach!
>I have a Ha and a Ka!
>Emotionally, 10/10, Deadman found his afterlife, I will miss you homie but you deserve nothing but happiness!
>Few hours later.
>SAM ITS ME DEADMAN I CAME BACK AND I AM A HACKER NOW AND TAKING OVER ROBOTS N SHEEEEIITTTTTTT LETS GO!

Every moment I spent in his goodbye, feeling sad yet happy for him? Wasted, pissed on, destroyed.

Nobody's ever really gone.

well the game is a bit hypocritical, everyone gets their little redemption (except characters like Deadman who are pretty morally consistent) even fucking Amelie, an entity that was hell bent on wiping out humanity.

but not Higgs, he has to be irredeemable, and no one even cares whatsoever that he was driven to this fate by what is effectively Science Anti-Christ.

This scene was badass, and anyone who disagrees has shit taste.

I mean he's still dead, he just hasn't "gone into the water" yet, he's just like Higgs in that way.

he lingered on to help Sam for a while.

It's sad, because from the moment I saw him trying to use his powers and it not working in the first game, I went "OH SHIT!"

That people with Dooms are influenced by dreams she has. I just wish he had a moment in the end, he deserved something. I thought the second game may be that moment but nope, same shit, and becomes baby food.

Which if you remember, if you die on an EE's beach, you die forever.

I mean he was always incredibly briliant, and I believe the Robots are specifically able to be piloted by BT's on the beach.

>He hasnt gone into the water.
>Video message of the end shows him walking into the water until his head submerges.

You just know this was some shit Kojima rewrote to be like a Marvel movie.

he did have a moment, when he was talking about his imprisonment, its the only time he's being honest in the entire series.

but then he puts back on his whacky mask and the show must go on, its almost as if even Higgs knows he won't win, but he's playing the part of the genocidal maniac to the very bitter end.

him guitar dueling Sam had him looking very happy and having fun, which betrayed his stated goal of extinction.

he was already dead, and that's just the APAS beach.

I always feel like I'm so ahead of everyone when a Kojima game releases. It's always incredibly divisive and it takes years before people start warming up to it. But I pretty much enjoy them right out of the gate. Maybe I'm just used to his shenanigans.

It was the exact same with the original Death Stranding. Huge wave of pushback, but now you have tons of people who hated it at launch saying they gave it a chance and love it.
Same thing will happen here.
Same as it ever was.

More than that, they gave Higgs a clown ending where he gets vored to death by a kaiju baby. Like what the fuck was that?

Reddit and lefties in general hate children and think raising them is disgusting.

both games have a very non-leftoid view of fathership/child raising.
