Why aren't we gaming in 8K yet

What's the point? Native 4K's already pretty much out of reach. 4x that means basically nothing runs and it doesn't even look that much better if it did.

Because pretty much everything past 1080 is a meme at this point. Like games are so unoptimized they loose half the frames every time you step up the resolution

Expensive PC haver here. Gaming on a 27” 4k OLED is offers fantastic sharpness thanks to the pixel density.
