Project Wingman is the only Ace Combat-like I played because it's the only one where mouse+keyboard doesn't feel like garbage
I think War Thunder is also made with mouse in mind, so I agree with you OP, in terms of controls both surpass AC by a large margin

AC7 is kino, and a legitimately good game. One of the more modern games I'd say even warrants the title "game". It's pretty decent and I just bought it again on PC because planes are sexy.

Bamco knows that Armored Core 7 and Ace Combat 8 would sell like shit because audiences' curiosity was sated and neither game was their cup of tea.
