Sakurai has been casualizing already casual baby-games since Smash Bros Brawl so if you have half a brain or are historically conscious (/v/edditors are not), you'll have zero expectations. Just play the original instead of allowing yourself to be hyped up by fantasies

I expect a more in-depth racing system. You could play the old one with one hand so I expect a new move you can do.
Also, with the way Nintendo racing games are going, I'm expecting more players in a hectic battle royale mode

I think Sakurai knows this considering he basically reused City Trial for Smash 3DS. The actual thing you have to worry about is him knowing and specifically choosing not to bring it back for some profoundly retarded reason.
