D4 was clearly the last time he put effort into anything, everything since has been trash. And I don't mean gameplay or technicals, just everything.

It's a shame it flopped that hard but there really wasn't a demand for a QTE-driven episodic drama-comedy series, if he wanted to do that he should've done what Suda51 does with his super unmarketable ideas and just throw it in a light novel or team up with a mangaka or whatever.
If Swery wasn't a bitch he could get the IP license rights for pennies and just release the treatment in a VN or who cares format, but he's kind of a bitch.

From all the shit I've read about DP's production, I've come to the conclusion that its dreamlike qualities and charming quirks are completely coinciedental and Swery genuinely doesn't "get" what he made and why it's endearing. Fuck's sake, the man thinks he made an actual good game.
