and the argument it's supposed to hold your government to some account has been proven to not be effective in the US, so it just gives you a more dangerous society for no benefit.

the problem as always is that politicians need to be popular to win and it's not the popular opinion to have violent and sexy games, so that is literally never gonna change unless society does.
in countries that dont ban this stuff societies as a whole give less of a shit about them, that's all it is.
