>>714242576The annoying thing for me is that under different circumstances it could have worked, N. Tropy could easily be main villain material for at least one game and having him team up with an alt timeline Tropy in a weird ego-driven selfcest partnership is a funny idea.
But the story refuses to commit to the bit either by keeping it light as a joke or go into it as an actual plot so you get a sort of half baked confused nothing that gets thrown out the window 3/4ths of the way through the game so we can dick around in the future and then limply wring out an obligatory-feeling Cortex fight.
I don't have anywhere near the autistic vitriol for this game that a certain anon on here does but Crash 4 was a bit of a disappointment in most everything but the actual platforming.
And seriously though, why was there a whole world of nothing happening between the N. Tropy plot concluding and Cortex's betrayal? How did something like that even make it past the planning phase? Even Twinsanity, blatantly unfinished as it was, usually had an idea as to what the protagonists' actual goal was at any given time.
