>>714245446>>714245537The original Switch had the Mariko battery upgrade and OLED model, but Nintendo before that only ever did intergenerational updates to their handhelds (GBC, DSi, New 3DS). That being said, the other Switch models are more form revisions than an actual Pro model with more power. Their home console revisions were always downgraded in some way (GameCube removed ports, Wii "Family Edition" removed GameCube controller/memory card slots and didn't read discs, Wii Mini removed all this and Wi-Fi functionality, the Super Famicom Jr. was stripped down, etc.)
A Switch 2 OLED could come out in 4 or 5 years, but I think that there's value in day one hardware in the sense it will have the highest chances of exploits down the line.
