i just got home 20 minutes ago. it's 4am, i have 2 more days in the week, i'm running out of good work on my favorite machine and i haven't had a proper shit in a week. nigga, i am in the trenches, and i would rather shitpost here than spend a minute on an actual game. i lack the bandwidth. calling people retards and posting about vague antigravity racing games that i am probably the sole player of in the last month is more fun and less intensive

yup. i haven't had a social life since late 2019, despite only going on night shift in 2023. covid fucked me over, working nights is keeping me there. on paper, things are going fine, i've been making more money and i've just recently moved out of the basement. honestly, it just feels really empty. i am doing this for no other reason than i think i have to, and some other complicating factors of my parents buying a new living space. i literally just play games online all weekend. i don't even think there's anywhere for me to go in town now, everything closed during lockdowns and never came back.

nothing. the problem is that i'm one of those old old ooold school gamers. i play games that are finished, done, complete once all the way through. do everything there is to do and see everything there is to see. and then i move on to another game. but the industry hates me. they give me nothing but early access and live service trash that will never be complete and that is by design. so now i have 2 choices. ignore all of vidya for at least 3-4 years for the games patch/update life cycle to end and be in a state where i can enjoy it or deal with the fact that i have to return to games every 6-12 months to see what the devs have updated.
