Back in Kojima's days, the people who got on TV and in movies, were fit, tanned, and had well balanced, mature features. Then the pendulum began to swing sometime in the 90s. But the 00s, all the entertainers are pale as can be, and look like balls of dough with eyes. Women with real mature natural beauty are no longer valuable. They still exist, but they either get surgery to look like everyone else, or they're pushed into more marginal roles in the entertainment industry, where they're largely overlooked.

Mature does not necessarily equate to hags. And I didn't use it to mean hags. I just meant that when you grow up with a normal healthy hormonal balance, you finish puberty looking like a whole woman. An young actress in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and much of the 90s, are going to look different than a young woman in the 00s, 10s, and 20s. Not because they're older. They're still in the same age group. But because different traits were valued back then. Physical maturity and elegance was valued. Rather than the purely neotenous blobby look of today.

Not true at all. Shioli Kutsuna is only 32 today. She was younger when Kojima casted her. I don't know the game's development timeframe. But Death Stranding 1 came out in 2019. So she might have been scouted as far back as then. When she would have been 26 years old.
Elle Fanning is only 27. Doing the 6 year math, she might have only been 21 when she was scouted.

Margaret Qualley is 30 today. Meaning when DS1 released, she was only 24. And probably younger when she was scouted.

Stefanie Joosten is 36 today. But 24 years old when they were showing behind the scenes of her shooting for Quiet.
