I don't think it looks very good. The lighting gives the game a soulless look I can't put my finger on.

The original is still playable on pretty much any console, and holds up remarkably well for a PS2 game. I actually find it more visually appealing than the shitty 'realistic' graphics of this remake. Why would anybody be genuinely hyped for this?

Fair enough. But the main target demographic is people who like the MGS series, and have almost certainly played MGS3 many times, probably quite recently. If it was some major overhaul I can imagine there being a bit of hype, but this is just a graphical update with some quality of life improvements.

MGS Delta is probably going to outsell Death Stranding 2 very hard. Death Stranding 2 has had no update after 3 days which is usually developers announce that it hit a million sold or something. Silent Hill 2 Remake hit 1 million in 3 days so thats pretty harrowing for DS2. Delta will likely smoke it
