Definitely recommend Onlink. It's very good.

I heard for the next patch they completely reprogrammed the interface to work on HD screens and added an original experience mode that lets you play the original but with the QoL changes of Onlink. Apparently they plan to show their work to the original devs to get it on Steam. Would be dope

If the game got a sequel, in what direction would you take it exactly? What would you build on?

You could make it more focused on the plot, or you could work more on making the world simulation feel believable, or make the hacking more involved, I dunno.

I didn't make it past the rosebud thing (the very first mission I think). It feels like it was like 20 years ago.

You could always install UplinkOS, should make it feel more modern. I'm personally not a fan of its aesthetics but it's a big improvement besides that

last night I just realized the in-game IRC chat wasn't fake, its actually a functional IRC client. It has some caveats, like not performing well with user authentication
