Story mode is basically a VN for each character with a few gimmick battles
Survival mode is a rougelike mode with boss battles (golden and dark characters) and upgrades for your character, barely any healing each round.
M.O.M. is a high score combo mode, you can also equip a few perks for your character, barely any healing for each passing battle aswell
Mission: Challenge mode with shit like "Do a combo over 18 hits with every character, or fight against Gold Dizzy and no blocking allowed."

With the old system, If you got lucky and got matched with a retard you just promote for free, on the other hand if you got matched with a smurf (which is 99% of S+ and S++ players) you will never promote ever.
Now you just have to have a consistent good performance to promote instead of just lucky matches.

Numbers are more distinct next to buttons. I know what st and cr mean but it’s a visual mess after you’re used to numpad+button notations. Especially if it’s a long combo and has command normals.

They doubled down on the garbage agressive playstyle of Tekken 8. All characters are now 50/50 casino stance styles. The game has stupid fireworks display comeback mechanics in favor of unique moves/playstyles.
