Why haven't there been any new games for PaRappa the Rapper or Um Jammer Lammy?

You cant sell loot boxes, skins or season passes with either of those games and theres not going to be a million players playing them consistantly. Thus its just a distration from games that do those things.

SIE dropped nearly all of their Japanese properties because they don’t see any profit in them. Sad but that’s the state of the industry now.

Study why it works, why the colors are painted that way they are and you'll get there in no time, may be not in quality because that will take literal years but in appeal for sure.

You aren't gonna get away with selling a rhythm game in this day and age with less than a dozen songs in it, and the work that goes into making original music for Parappa is astronomically more cost and time-intensive than just using songs that already exist, like every other rhythm game does. No one in their right minds would see a new Parappa as a cost-effective endeavor.
