The ball ones are fun, just push the button to launch the balls and hopefully lands on one of the plates. The slot ones are flashy, but boring, so if you find an anime one, try it out. Too many smokers and it's very loud, so don't stay too long. If you actually win, trade in for some metal "bars". You can exchange them for money. I had an old lady help time the slot pattern for me, that's how I won.

Turn the spinner to the right but not too much because if you do the machine will scream at you to stop pushing it so hard to the right

you just need to hit that sweet spot where the balls you send go into the holes

Turn the knob and the balls come out, try to get them to fall into the holes. Press buttons when the screen tells you to. I bought one on the aftermarket 10 years ago since they're somewhat affordable.

This thread is funny because everyone thinks the OP is asking about pachinko mechanics and shit, but what the OP is really trying to ask about is basic shit like "where do i put the money" and "how do I know I win"
Which would be much easier for him to just fucking ask someone there at the pachinko parlor, but he can't do that since he's just a mouth breathing EOP using japan as a playground

Friendly reminder that gambling for money in Japan is outlawed. There is a loophole for this, however. You just exchange your pachinko balls for "prizes" and then trade them for actual money at the shop next door.

Play ones with simpler gimmick for beginners like Umi monogatari at start
when ball goes in hole, this lamp increases, and while this lamp is stocked game pulls the roulette, it doesn't get stock more than 4 so stop putting in balls once it reaches around 3.

If you actually want to win you need to figure out where at what time the parlor manipulates with the chance, or know shit like the nail placement, but don't bother about that and just play it for shits and giggles. I hear the rates are getting worse and people who used to make living playing pachinko are starting to go out of business.

Some animation/gimmick of these machines are pretty cool, and while the rates are terrible it's still a low stake gambling.
If you win you got lucky, if you lose you had fun fiddling with a funny machine, it's not that bad if you drop couple of bucks with that mind set.

No coin/bill slot, the money attachments are their own separate machines. Balls go in a big tray at the rear top of the machine and there's a free play mode. In an actual parlor, you typically put money in and the balls drop into the front tray and that's what you have to play with.

In no other country on Earth would people bitch and shit themselves about tourists paying money to play at local entertainment. Because people won't enter the parlor if it didn't let you win? They used to events where they shifted the win rate ridiculously high, and make people win in mass to compete against the neighboring parlor and get them bankrupt.
That high competition era is now over though so the win rate sucks, nowadays they are just vacuuming from addicts.

Literally no country on Earth expects tourists to know the local language fluently especially when it's that hard to learn. In fact Japanese locals will be very pleased to hear you speak even small amounts of Japanese. It's not expected, it's not an issue. It's a bonus. Don't be an asshole and everything is perfectly fine.

Here's a step-by-step guide.

>Get water cubes on the final floor in order to bend the building
>Interfere with the way the pins are spaced between each other
>If you are still losing, don't panic. Put more money into the machine until your balls are so many they can surpass the air ring in the final hole

>In no other country on Earth would people bitch and shit themselves about tourists paying money to play at local entertainment
Because employees doesn't own the establishment, and it's apparently a shitty job despite the place doesn't really cater towards tourist, so I don't think the employee would be happy to have an extra job of baby-sitting a tourist.
I'm talking in common sense though, if you were asking the owner or a nice part-timer who happened to like the job, I don't think they'd have a problem.
