I tried playing League years ago and I got burnt out immediately after learning that the entire game requires you to adhere to a retarded meta that tells you what characters you can play in what specific areas of the game and if you don't play like a tryhard compfag you're banned, and most of the actual gameplay is just fucking grinding against bots so you can afford to make your abilities not trash.

Also I watched S1 of Arcane and it was some of the most embarrassing slop I've seen in my life, people who like that show have unfathomably shit taste and I'm not listening to their opinions on anything.

For the hours to put into learning and getting good, I'd rather just play single player games. No drive to grind rank and deal with random teammates. Trying to learn a game while trapped in the same rank as people hardstuck silver would be fucking miserable.

Not trying to defend MOBAs or anything, but I don't believe those who claim never to have played league of legends. I vividly remember back in high school around 2012-2014 it was impossible to go a day without hearing my classmates talking about league, and it was all my friends played, so I was kind of peer pressured into playing it as well. It was inescapable, plain and simple.

Zoe was the tipping point for me. Not the apex reason, but the writing was on the wall for a few years. Trundle rework was dogshit revisionism, and they started leaning heavily into reworks that weren't needed if only because they started giving lore-related reasons for the changes.
I never came back because of it, and after how they bastardized Taric (as a whole, but Bloodstone skin specifically since it has zero edge-factor now) and Mord, there's nothing left to come back to. Cho'Gath is the sole reason for me if I even humor the itch, and the way they made Vorpal Spikes a casted ability with limited duration/uses before it goes on cooldown is fucking abominable - it was his most oppressive skill to keep the even more oppressive top laners in line.
