I agree. My personal example would be how in animal crossing new horizons you walk in the changing booth buy your shit and then head out. Very little interaction with the shopkeepers. Likewise, how the have postcards be sent out at the airport and not from a dedicated post office with its own unique NPCs

The bottom one is out of necessity of it being an open world game, the Pokemon Center needs to be easy to spot from a distance.
