have they actively tried though? it is mostly just sending up satellites and testing rockets from private companies like Tesla. i guess the ISS is still a thing.

besides it was mostly a successful fluke anyway, the space program even in it's glory days was riddled with failures, hell i remember seeing a recording of the Challenger explosion (to think instead of blowing up a teacher they almost blew up Big Bird on live television)

I'm more surprised how it had a tryckload of platformers but aside from most of them sucking when nintendo unleashed the plumber it was game over for atari in that genre but they kept pumping them.
