Probably because Obsidian is surprisingly still capable of actually releasing games, even if they aren't that amazing.
But that doesn't really matter, Tango was "untouched" until they released their last game. Space New Vegas 2 will either become a massive success or be the excuse that will put Obsidian on Microsoft's Chopping Block™ list.

But they haven't made a single good game since New Vegas.

I genuinely believe $80 price tag on Outer Worlds 2 will be the end of Obsidian.

zenimax is at end of life span for its mmo
obsidian is still churning out slop thatll get 6/10 review scores in a few months
