> I remember everyone hyping it up when it came out. I only remember the threads seething over the rainbow and tranny flag car decals

>>714316518 (OP) There was only a moment, near the end. One of the few areas before the last one. There was a fucking rain of giant pillars of rock and shit was exciting. But honestly the game felt very weird and clunky for the rest. Soundtrack was nice.
I literally played one hour and when I saw all the menus I uninstalled it. I had no idea you had to do so much crafting and micromanage your inventory.

>>714316518 (OP) When does it get fun? I'll be honest. The loop is: drive out, loot and get out the zone, get back at the garage and repair your car. That is it. What changes is the zone gets increasingly different the more you play and the deeper you venture into the zone. I liked it for what it was and got a little obssesed about it for a while. Hated the ending. You literally get the whole loop on the first 2 hours and move on and get more story. That's it.
>>714317943 >failed movie/book critic Give the guy some credit, he actually makes games. The most that screeching fat retard Ebert ever did was write half a screenplay
>>714318435 Same, I even refunded it. I wanted a lonely game of driving around the pacific northwest with some sci fi elements, not a crafting-survival game based around runs.

>>714318929 Honestly his books aren't half bad either. Haven't read the third book in his Jaques McKeown series yet but the first two were petty good

>>714318246 >Soundtrack was nice. I appreciate the game introducing me to Doctor Juice and Save Us Sarah.
>>714318889 They really dropped the ball with the ending. I was expecting at least a destination outside the wall so you could leave when you want to with a nice leisurely car drive as the credits roll.
Honestly it takes way too long to make the car not shit. I could see there being a lot of fun racing away from the big instability thing and swerving around shit popping out in front of you but the driving just feels like absolute garbage for a lot of the game which for a game centered around driving car is a pretty big fumble. I say the start of the game because I never got further than that. I was bored of it because the first hour is the same as the tenth which I could deal with if the escapes were a bit more intense.

>>714316518 (OP) Excessive crafting and constant unending repairs killed it for me. Soundtrack, visuals and premise was alright
