I'm playing Yooka Laylee Impossible Lair after finishing the first and they're a delight.
They feel like authentic Rare games made with ugly Unreal assets.

I also want to add that I'm forcing myself to play through Tamarin and that game is fucking rough as hell - I loved Jet Force Gemini but this stuff really stinks so far

Probably JFG. It's a shame the game's default controls are so ass and that no option is really comfortable when playing on a modern controller, because I think it's actually a really great game.
The fetchquest with the tribals is infamous, but you're gonna go back and explore the planets with your new abilities anyway, so it wasn't that big of a deal to me.

But, man, the visuals and particularly the music in this game is fucking insanely good. I've played through it probably 10 times.
