why do you keep spamming prime 2 threads? are you trying to make people hate it and associate it with OCD ritualposting?

Metroid Prime Echoes is a great game for Gamecube, a console known for lackluster entries in every first party franchise.

I played the first game and it was so fucking bad that I could not even believe that it's considered one of if not the best Gamecube games of all time. I believe the only way anyone could think this is if they have literally _never_ played another game in their life, or maybe only ever played Nintendo in their lives. These same people insist Prime 2 is "even better." but I've been through it so many times with Nintendo fans. Every time they recommend a game it turns out being a massively awful piece of shit with no redeeming qualities they only like because the brand attached to it.

I'll die never playing it, and I do not care. I'll play a million other far better games far more worth my time.

There is none. This is clearly the best Prime game.
Probably has the the most fun randomizer as well, although I'm not as good with Prime 2's physics as I am with Prime.

what didn't you like about it?

I wouldn't say confusing but more convaluted, but that's a good thing for me and metroidvanias provided the level design accommodates for it and is good (like prime 2)

None whatsoever. The game respects the player's competence from just about the start of a playthrough, and backtracking was a little less monotonous than in Prime, especially for a blind run. I think the story is a little goofy, but overall, I give it a pass for the solid execution of a LttP-style darkworld in 3D.

My only lasting gripes are:
>portal load times kind of suck
>final Dark Samus gimmick is a little cheap

Nothing, I'm waiting for the re-release, whenever Nintendo gets around to it.

Metroid Prime >= Metroid Prime 2 Echoes >>>> Metroid Prime Pinball >>>>>>> Metroid Prime 3 Corruption == Metroid Prime Hunters

I hope Prime 4 is at least somewhere between Pinball and Prime 3 in terms of Metroid gameplay. I'm not holding my breath since they decided to go with the autist/asperg Sylux fags

I only hate that the light and dark beam cannons has to use ammo

I fucking hate "mirror/dark" worlds that make you make a breadcrumb trail of light to stay alive in a bubble that has to be remade all the fucking time. It's tedious and I can't believe Nintendo is still doing this shit in TotK.

All the backtracking through a palette swap wears itself thin pretty quickly. At least when it do it in another Metroid game there's some audiovisual diversity.

that's precisely what owning a Gamecube felt like
