people didnt like it was more of a sequel with the meta shenanigans. personally I loved it as well. I have the original that I can mod if I want the definitive experience. The remake is great for fleshing out the characters and seeing midgar in a new light. If you haven't played rebirth the character interactions and combat get even better. It has some bloat but you can skip a ton of it.

I never played the original. Most of what Imknew about FF7 was from Kingdom Hearts 2 and that Legendary Tifa tit fuck video.

Does Remake Tifa capture what she was like in the original? I was expecting a harder choice. Tifa is hotter but Cloud and Aerith have a better relationship

i love both remake and rebirth, maybe its just because i have really low expectations for japanese storytelling that i let a lot things about it slide, and it doesnt really do anything that damages my love for the original game, nor does it act as a replacement. plus its not like the original game was a flawless masterpiece, it just had a memorable setting and cast of characters.
