Imagine developing a game for 11 years, finally having it be partially playable last year after a decade of work and then getting fired and the game being cancelled ight when it was starting to take shape. I can't imagine how fucked up that would feel. Their last decade was just wiped out like that.

It just feels fucking insane to me that nowadays a developer can work a 1/3 of his entire professional life on just one project that never even comes out.

>Development on Everwild is being led by executive producer Louise Oโ€™Connor
>The industry hasn't always got it right, O'Connor said, but she says it is getting better. Women and non-binary workers accounted for 38% of the global industry workforce in 2021
>"I started out as the only woman on my team, now I'm one of many," O'Connor said

>Women and non-binary workers
So... women? I've never heard a man claim to be non-binary, it's always women saying that.

>gobble up studios
>close down all the non-performing ones full of DEI hires after they've wasted both their time and Microsoft's money jerking off doing nothing
Wait, isn't this actually good for the industry?

This has always been within MS' modus operandi. Even before that guy, studios who work with them report endless changes and project reboots because the suits at MS don't know what they fucking want lol. Look at Scalebound, or even earlier - True Fantasy Live Online. There's a reason Level 5 (even if they're shit these days) refuses to do anything with MS. Hell, even the production of Nuts and Bolts is reflective of this.

MS was lucky in the first place that 3rd party devs loved the early 360 days.
