>>714347792From what I understand the entire difficulty of SMT comes from the game not telling you shit, so if you go in without a guide you get ass raped and have to experiment a lot and I haven't gotten to it but iirc there's a section that prevents you from going back to previous areas and grinding and getting new demons so if you don't have the right demons before that you practically softlocked yourself.
Play it with a guide and the game no longer has difficulty or any real decisions to make. This is why I can't take j(read:gay)rpgs seriously because using a guide makes the game too easy, not using the game makes them artificially difficult unless you play on an easy mode, if available, and considering these games take a lot of time WITH guides, why would you go through the pain of trial-and-error and experimentation where there isn't any real depth?
