yeah I saw that one, but isn't that for the steam remaster? Im not buying it just for this bullshit
Isn't he an optional superboss anyway? In which case a save before the final boss should work
Anonymous No.714347584 [Report]
Can you not increase you maximum Mag in Raidou remastered? I remember you could do that in 2.

One of my favorite games of all time.
Raidou or Dante?

You mean Matador? As far as I remember, he's mandatory, as soon as you reach a certain point in the area he's in, you get swallowed by the floor and into his arena.

Preta, Makami, and the Ice Magatama all give you Fog Breath pretty early on which makes this fight easy as piss. Plus there's a plentiful amount of Force Null demons during that level too. You'd have to be giant retard that doesn't interact with basic mechanics to be filtered by him.

>>714347539
he's a main story boss, he's around level 30, the whole point of his fight is being limited by the small selection of demons in your hand. using a 100% save file makes no sense, there's no way to re fight a boss unless you start a new game and doing a new game+ dumbs down the difficulty of the fight.

i picked raidou i think he looks cooler than dante

I think Raidou's animations are actually better than Dante's, probably because he came after, and it's cool seeing demons that aren't in the game as his summons. But then again Dante is Dante and it's cool they got Reuben to voice him in the HD Remake. Idk if 9.99 for what's essentially a skin is worth it though.

Oh he's just a little level 30 story boss? Can't be that bad then
I can't find a savefile that isn't in some weird format so I guess he's getting off easy for now

Dante just because in his version the already poorly deisgned Lucifer fight doesn't get random fucking healing
gameplay in this game peaked with the Beelzebub fight

I did Dante on the ps3 eshop version and again in the remaster, started the Raidou side on my 2nd playthrough on the remaster then the Raidou remaster came out and I'm playing that. I'll finish it afterwards. Wish I could have them both, it's hard to choose.

That fight always has my ass clenched.

He's hard until you learn the game properly, like dark souls is hard until you know everything. Games can be mastered, and that's totally ok.

He's not bad if by that point in the game you have learned the importance of buffs and debuffs. I beat him first try on Hard, but I have to admit that his attacks hit really hard since I had no knowledge of the fights, and I don't remember if I used a demon with Null/Drain Force.

On the other hand, the first Dante fight on Hard teared me a new one, that fight on Hard is merciless.

>>714348017
he was only hard because he was placed in the second room of a zone which sports demons of the intended level for the fight and with skill and resistances that make him much easier
so people usually fight him unprepared and with no idea they could spend 5 minutes recruiting demons a few steps before his fight trigger

Yeah. That's kinda what I mean. Most people playing SMT3 these days have other SMT experience or have played Persona.

>I thought he only heals to full once in the Raidou side?
yes that's what my post was about
the fight is basically just a dekaja/dekunda/stat check with a shitty gimmick attached making it a complete slog (a bit better now that Dante gets pierce)

I beat it on Hard with Dante, barely. I wonder how much more bullshit it is on Raidou.

I wanna platinum this game but getting every single ending is such a pain.

Yeah the final bosses of Nocturne were really disappointing
>Kagatsuchi was way too easy because I'm on TDE

From what I understand the entire difficulty of SMT comes from the game not telling you shit, so if you go in without a guide you get ass raped and have to experiment a lot and I haven't gotten to it but iirc there's a section that prevents you from going back to previous areas and grinding and getting new demons so if you don't have the right demons before that you practically softlocked yourself.

Play it with a guide and the game no longer has difficulty or any real decisions to make. This is why I can't take j(read:gay)rpgs seriously because using a guide makes the game too easy, not using the game makes them artificially difficult unless you play on an easy mode, if available, and considering these games take a lot of time WITH guides, why would you go through the pain of trial-and-error and experimentation where there isn't any real depth?
