Mainline Pokemon games don't deviate from each other enough for one to be considered a Living Hell experience and another Amazing. A Pokemon game is decent at worst.
BW is unironically overrated, the Unova dex is distributed too poorly for them to carry the game alone without other gens. Even DP beats BW; and BW has the same lame gym leader design as XY only XY has a vastly superior pokedex roster, so you might as well put XY over BW too.
USUM has some of the best boss fights in the series.
