They basically copied Tarkov in the 1.0 mashmak. You get to keep everything you extracted with including all the lootboxes in your pocket and the mashmak weapons and ammo you're currently equipment, of which you can either sell on the player flea market for gold or bring with you on future mashmak raids. Weapons and ammo are now "consumable" in this regard.
I understand they need to do something about the auto cannon spam in mashmak, but I'm not a fan of this change because you only have 12 spaces in your pocket which is not a lot to begin with, every weapon or ammo you bring from home to a mashmak game is unironically a precious inventory space gone.
I would enjoy mashmak mode more if you have something like 30 inventory spaces and you actually get to enjoy looting stuffs because right now what happens in every mashmak game is that you land and you shoot stuffs for like 2 minutes and now your inventory is already full (with trash but then there's really no good loot to begin with) and now you're just wasting time doing nothing productive until an extract spawns and you get to leave.

People don't talk about the gameplay much because the gameplay is lowkey not fun after they copied overwatch and made everything a one-trick after the 1st open beta. The game was genuinely good and I would give it a 8/10 during the first alpha, but on second alpha they copied Overwatch and gives every mech a designated role making them good at doing one thing and one thing only. The fun factor took a nosedive after this game because every game you just do the same thing like a machine. If you're playing falcon your job is to only shoot at enemy sniper and light mechs and that will be all you're doing for eternity. Don't bother even looking at the enemies medium or heavy mechs, your pea shooter won't even scratch that. It's not your job, it does not concern you. Just tunnel vision on and shoot at their sniper like a good boy and then do it again and again and again and again and again and again because that's the one thing your mech is good at and that's what you're supposed to be doing. If you're playing A, just spam B and B only for the entire game on enemy group C while avoiding enemy group D which counters you. Game is a lot better during the first alpha but alas, the good old time is gone.

What is there to bait? The first alpha was genuinely a lot better than 1.0. Skyraider's bomb can actually hurts heavies. Falcon actually takes skills and you can't just hold down the death spiral button and say I win. Panaka's shotgun actually hurts and is not a dps deadweight. Now you can't do that because every mech now has a designated role and designated counter/countered, and if you do anything but what you're supposed to be doing then you're throwing the game for everyone.

Just tried Pinaka and that thing feels terrible. The wall drop is worthless unless your enemy is Tricera or Stego and in turret form at the time because anyone with half a brain isn't going to let it fall on them and it's worthless as a defensive tool with how mobile everyone is in this game. The laser barrage is weak as shit and will lose against everyone other than maybe Falcon in a direct confrontation. The invincibility shield is good for capturing objectives and that's about it. The shield also seems to be finicky as fuck when in a large group, they really should've made it so you hold the button to apply it to yourself instead of it doing that when you aren't locked on.

Pinaka was OP af during the first alpha. If a Pinaka fly up to a Tricera and unload his shotgun at point blank it can one-clip a hunkered down full HP Tricera in 3 seconds. Shit devours Tricera so quick it fixes the "tricera sitting on payload not dying" bullshit and was extremely fun and satisfying to play.

Obviously people starts noticing at the end of first alpha, and not only they buffed heavies tankiness like crazy they also neutered his shotgun by making it recharge at a rate of 10 years per shot so now he's just a trash heal bot with 0 dps.

From alpha to full release the dev has been changing Welkin from heavy melee hitter to objective contester + antiair which is fine imo because currently the game really lacks a mech that excel at doing these two things.
When you're calling Welkin OP because it has too much utility, I say it's the game's fault for not having another mech that can serves the role for contesting points, or another mech that can effectively punish overextended flyers.

Stellaris can also be incredibly broken against flyers because of the auto grappling and large energy pool but since alot of people are still new here it's hard to come to a conclusion.

Hurricane Challenge 4 where you fight Welkin+Panther is just about impossible now compared to the demo version because of the buffs. Welkin can overwhelm Hurricane's limited Shield usage, and because of the HP buffs most mechs got, Hurricane's damage output can't wipe Welkin out in one cycle before Welkin's forward shield goes back up. You have to manipulate very specific spacing and be really fucking lucky with your timing.

Gears are slightly compilated. If you decided to bring gears with you and you survive and extract then obviously it'll get refunded and goes back to your inventory. But if you die then it depends on whether or not you're going back to your own wreckage to grab your weapon. Otherwise if you extract or leave the game without the weapons then you'll lose them.

That being said you don't really need to bring weapons in mashmak because pvp is not as rewarding alpha.
They removed the premium currency lootbox from the PvE drop pool, and the most you can get from spending time playing mashmak are paint crates and emblem crates which are obviously garbage. Nobody wants to PvP anymore in mashmak because not only people aren't going to drop anything of value but chances are you don't have inventory spaces for more shit anyway so why risk it.
Just a heads up though there're a lot of bots in mashmak and they only exist to fight players. I'm certain their AI is simple logic. They will afk until one of the extraction point is open, and then they will hold w and beeline towards an extraction and fights everything that is in the area. These bots drop nothing of value and they only exist to fill the room and makes you think you're not alone, when in reality every mashmak game only has like 3 real players.

TL:DR just do your mashmak weekly and get out. No need to spend time playing that gamemode.

sure, first of all sourcing pure helium these days is pretty difficult, it's usually mixed with nitrogen which will make your goal more difficult, so be sure when you are designing your exit bag you get 100% pure helium tank, or you will wind up with severe brain damage but alive and a vegetable, instead of dead

you may need to establish plausible deniability for getting a pure helium tank in some places, just wanting to make balloons isn't enough, since balloon helium is nitrogen+helium now due to injuries

second of all, you need a secure fitting around your neck with no leaks, so industrial rubber bands will work really good for that, you want to be almost choking to ensure a tight fit and no oxygen is getting in, needless to say any old plastic bag wont work, a heavy clear garbage bag is probably your best bet though for no leakage. Double bag it to be sure

in a pinch you can just go hard with duct tape, but since the people who will be cleaning up your corpse will need to remove the exit bag, this isn't a very nice thing to do

lastly, this part if a bit controversial, but in order to make sure you don't pussy out at the last second, you can do some handcuffs and lock yourself to a sturdy fixture after getting everything set up, dont worry though the panic and desperate survival response will only last for like 10-15 seconds before oxygen starvation causes you to conk out, you might not even get it at all and just feel lightheaded and peaceful for a bit, then go unconcious

its leash is a zero confirmation needed panther drill and it also comes with a gauss-like interrupt on its sword drones, which means it can do anything and fuck up any cooldown

leash+triple slash kills any light mech in a single combo, and they can't fight back or track you because you just restealth instantly after your slash ends

no skill needed, you can even hold down Lclick while on somebody and it auto attacks and sticks to them

Executions are just for BM right? Do you regen shields during the kill animation and are there iframes?
