[SERIOUS] Now that their main competitor ultimately shidded themselves. What's their next move? Do they just twiddle their thumbs now or something?

There will always be the big 3.
If steamdeck2 comes with a tv dock, it could possibly fill in the third spot imo

Nintendo is next.

Don't forget Sony's kill count is now 2 for 2.

Sega down.
Xbox down.
Tendies are quaking in their boots.

i think their first party arcade fight stick and big bet on the arcsys marvel fighter / buying EVO are a good hint of the direction they want to move in. at least i hope so.
they need to reconnect to the arcade era and the physical dimension of games; not in the VR sense but more like novel input devices, local multiplayer, in person competitive gaming. think wii/dreamcast style console design. double down on gran turismo with a killer first party wheel....make it a true sim experience and bring over the iracing audience. produce the best, most technical fighting games with the most popular IP and partner with the competitive scene.
to be fair this could literally end the playstation but it would be awesome. and preferable to slowly fading out against steam/ms monopolists

Bro they're in terrible shape too, they're just a couple of years behind.
Between Concord, Fairgames, and Marathon Sony has been funding disaster after disaster.
And they don't have a game for this year, what the hell have PS5 owners been playing?

Holy fuck you're delusional.
This is that whole bit about turning brands into religions. STEAM DECK ONE SOLD LESS THAN THE OUYA

Sony is also burning billions purchasing hack studios and trying to get a sniff of the GaaS market

Ultimately, the only things that could really kill Playstation is if Nintendo caught up in power or if Xbox really does allow for the Steam marketplace. Your average person isn't going to get a PC, so when people want heavier games that run okay within 5-10 years of their release date they need a console like a Playstation. What would probably be better for them now is trying to not make quite as many big massive bloated titles as those don't usually work. Nintendo are probably going to stick to the Switch which will gimp their power and keep the two niches alive. I think the only way they won't stick to the Switch is if technology doesn't catch up to whatever jump in power is needed for the next Switch. The Switch 2 already barely has any cartridge games, and they might be limited by the speeds of MicroSD Express cards if no significantly faster cards are made.

honestly I think it'll come down to if the switch 2 or future can run call of dooty
if it can run call of dooty, then it's over for PS
>except for maybe some exclusives and Snoy paying for exclusives

They're gonna keep chasing live service because they've said so and probably rush out PS6 too early which will alienate Sony players

Tons of console players just cares about Fortnite, people are retarded if they don't think Switch 2 will be enough for most people out there
