WoW healing magic has never been shown to be able to cure cripples. There’s always been a limit to it. In fact, even resurrections in lore are only supposed to work if it’s right after they die and even then there’s a limit to how injured someone is while still being able to be resurrected with heavy injuries requiring demigod levels of healing. Which is all beside the point of Khadgar being a mage which uses arcane magic, which doesn’t heal.

Levitate is a priest spell, not a mage spell. And even if Khadgar could levitate l constantly exerting effort via magic would probably get old compared to having a magic chair to sit in.
The issue with him being injured(they haven’t even said it’s permanent) and in a magic wheel chair is how lazy they were with it. They took an existing texture and made it glowing purple instead of taking an hour or two to make a cool looking floating chair so he could be magic professor X.
