I remember I walked into a comic shop as a kid and was hit with this horrible smell I'd never taken in before. bunch of fat nerds were playing some tabletop game, pretty sure itw as Magic. Only people like that are capable of that kind of nose assaulting funk.

I called out friends of mine and even strangers in a more indirect way. Ridiculing them helps.

Hygiene is one of those things where the only real way to solve it is to rip the band aid off. If your friend stinks of musty old cumsocks, it's your moral duty to tell them that.
