I agree with the idea that Halo Studios has one more chance to get things right. If they don't, they'll experience massive layoff or they'll get shut down while the Halo IP goes to either Activision or ID Software. If the next Halo doesn't light the charts up or at least get people to talk about it positively for an extended period of time, they're finished.

Bungie gave the property to Microsoft because they wanted to make new kinds of games and genuinely didn't think Microsoft would make a Halo 4 after Bungie implemented Forge Mode, which theoretically meant Halo could be played "new" forever.

iirc they simply didn't want to make more Halo games. Chiefs story was done with 3, Reach and ODST were just to fulfil their contract for 5 games and after that they just signed a new contract for new games with Activision.

They should add a Battlefront 2 (original) style PvPvE game mode to Halo. Large battlefield, Covenant vs Humans, with tons of AI units running around including in vehicles. Spartans and Elites are humans.
