I dont know dude I played hearthstone for 12 years and now play Balatro because I just enjoy clicking/doing something mindless, played COD and CSGO for a bit but dropped once you get to ranked and other shit where you have to start actually "learning the game"
Video games are not a relaxing form or art, maybe Dark Souls is the only "REAL" game i enjoy because its so linear and stupid

My friend who is into a decent amount of modern mainstream music and games, who has played almost nothing but Marvel Rivals & Palworld for the past 3 weeks (I've played both with him so that's my answer) and has played pretty much every single Far Cry game to completion, is also the biggest Suda51/Grasshopper fan I've ever met. I don't just mean he's played NMH, he's actually in there on other Kill The Past games like Silver Case and was the only person I knew who genuinely wanted to play Deathverse because he wanted to see as much of Let It Die's world as possible.

I play a lot of sports vidya mostly due to the player development/scouting aspects in franchise mode. Most of the "be a pro" modes are either microtransaction cancer or haven't been updated in years in favor of ultimate team modes (which the same goes for franchise modes nowadays too unfortunately)
