You build up a farming empire from nothing. Its like a micro city builder or just a town builder because you do eventually build pam a house and pay the builder lady to build shortcuts all over town.

Absolutely not. The inventory management in this game alone makes it a frustrating piece of shit.
SV isn’t the best at inventory management either but it is still far easier.
Forcing crafting stations to be all over the place while not having a pull from central storage system makes it a massive slog.

I dunno man, I feel pretty confident that my first run where I kept actually trying to earn gold while getting all the artifacts and my second run where I just wanted to make a village/market show a lot more achievement than whatever your shitty farm ended up being with your gay "longer days mod", despite most days in both runs being done by 11am.

I am playing it for the first time. Should I use the mod that shows where the npcs are or should I try to memorize where they live and their routines? I am on day 6

Learning the characters routines isn't even that hard. Tuesday has all the milfs gather for exercise, Friday has like 75% of the town grabbing a drink. You just start there and branch out to eat characters routines. Just remember Marnie is never actually at her fucking counter when you need her to be and Clint is an asshole who closes shop at 4
