it has a nice atmosphere, the story is pretty well written even if simple and they somehow managed to get nearly every VA on board for this, and the Owen Wilson inpersonator is pretty good at his job.
this game's rendition of Radiator Springs is also the best, its both really accurate and fun to drive around on, every game after this one tries too hard to mix things up just to make the races more difficult, which is this games's main problem: its too easy, even if you turn the secret high difficulty mode on, the AI dont really stand a chance agaisnt you its like if they were driving with a speed limiter on.
the physics are also a bit wonky and powersliding is really weird and uncomfortable to execute.

Made by Avalanche studios who also did the Toy Story 3 game, Mad Max, Hogwarts Legacy.
All great movie tie ins.
Cars is still good except for the actual gameplay like first anon said.

Also OP don't bother playing the original, these old Cars games have a cult following and the best way to play these games is to download a heavily modded PC version called Cars: Hi-Octane Edition
