Both of those games were in development hell, had been in dev for nearly a decade with never even enter full production.
I actually agree with M$ with the decision to cancel these games. They were obviously sucking money from the company with no real progress being made. They got rid of the bloat.

Quick, post 10 games that were in development for a decade and were good.

Xbox are fine. Xbox has like 30 games in development right now that the cancellation of 3 is basically a drop in the ocean. Xbox is so big now that they're basically on par with tencent, who also cancel games all the time because they have so many in development at once.
