Immersive sims take time and most dev studios can't afford that unless their triple A publisher is backing them and instructing them to create an MMO. And even then crunch is real - if it takes an MMO 3 years to make, they get afforded 3 months worth of hookers and blow and 3 weeks of actual work or else it's into the trash bin
