I actually pre-ordered it and played it and never watched any reviews for it and it was absolute fucking trash. So much so I tried to refund it but I kept trying to playing it just a little bit longer to see if it got good to the point I exceeded the limit.

All the "prison shit" was basically the first 20 minutes and then it was generic scifi corridors. The garden area was a neat environment I guess, but you can wallpaper and ass rape dungeon, it's still going to be an ass rape dungeon.

If you stop thinking about it like an ass rape dungeon for a minute and just place the wallpaper down like you planned, it will start to look nicer in reality. Then it kinda feels comfy and you can start to tidy it up a bit and decorate it, in no time it becomes less of an ass rape dungeon and more of a mancave dungeon, you know?

I played it recently when it was on sale for like 11 bucks DLC included.

The worst offense that this game commits is that is so unbelievably bland that I some how managed to feel nothing while playing the whole game.

Like the game is graphically intense while at the same time having a non existent art direction. The only thing that looked kind of cool was the full suit because of how the helmet looks, and you only wear that for a small section of the game?!? WHY?

also the combat has all of the tension sapped the moment you figure out dodging. Fucking lame ass video game.

Fucking how, those two games have actual variety in their levels, weapons, gameplay and approach of situations. Callisto tried to be Last of Us with a 'Dead Space at home' coat of paint and along the way they forgot about the "game" part of the videogame. And you *know* that to be true because the DLC while garbage narratively actually was far more interesting mechanically in a couple hours than the entire game in 15.

this game needed weapon variety BADLY. combat got super stale a few hours in

Except it's a Dead Space clone, not a Death Stranding clone, A really bad one at that. The ending and the DLC have to be one of the biggest fuck yous I've ever seen from a developer.
The base game ends on a massive cliff hanger that's basically designed to bait you into buying the DLC
the DLC ends with a "fuck you this entire DLC and everything that happened towards the end of the base game was all in your character's head and in actuality he was just dying and having a dream before succumbing to his wombs
