>>714404051 (OP)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmkCQJrc9n4
TL;DW: hundreds of thousands of signatures are possibly botted, therefore invalid
it's MOLDOVER
>>714404051 (OP)Worry is in act real but nothing can be confirmed until the authorities take a look at these signatures themselves first so who the fuck knows...
>>714404051 (OP)>>714404517Go ahead and prove that they're fake/wrong/botted, then.
Or are you just hoping that's the case?
>>714404051 (OP)why is his room so dark

>>714404897So what? We have 28 days
>>714404051 (OP)>700k ballpark on real numbersWhere are we gonna find 300k more votes when most will see the petition met its goal

>Interpol and europol are going to go after spoofers
rofl no they won't

>>714405081kek thats what you get for overreacting and acting like its a slamdunk
>>714405310interpol and europol ARE the fucking spoofers most likely LMAOO
so what happens now, will the EU peoples livestream the discussion or release a press report?
Pirate Software won lmao, never mess with a real Haxx0r who knows his way around a botfarm kiddos.

>>714405081>Making up a random numberHmmm who would do this?
Who would benefit from spreading misinformation like this?
>>714405380Now you wait until the deadline.
Then the fake/incorrect signatures will be purged.
If the result still meets the threshold, the EU will call representatives of the petition to present their case before Parliament and the Commission. Then they get to vote on what action to take.
>>714405427pajeets don't know what a VPN is

So? We continue to spread the word and get more signatures. A month ago it looked like the movement was dead, now anything is possible.

IT LITERALLY ISN'T POSSIBLE TO SCAM THIS
>>714405609>now that it got botted anything is possiblelol

>>714405624I voted by listing my name, address and birthdate., no ID number. And looks like it worked
>>714404051 (OP)Won't this shit affect mobile games? That's an industry that makes billions of profit and tax money. This shit's not happening.
>>714405503thanks for answering my first question
>fake/incorrect signaturesas I understood it this thing was foolproof (it's tied to your EU identification), how can it still be faked?
>>714405624Yes but you will still have people that filled out the form in a wrong way basically invalidating their signature. Doesn't apply to anyones with electronic identification method but it is what it is, and I am staying hopeful about this for once
>>714405624In France, you don't need to give an ID.
>>714405714Anyone who botted it has to deal europol and interpol.
>>714405624You need ID to travel anywhere in the U.S. you realise that? You can't board a plane without I.D. You're fucked in the U.S. with an I.D.
>>714405748see
>>714405714It works now for that petition website, but it won't count in the actual results.
It's like drawing a penis on a voting sheet. They'll count you as someone who voted, but your vote won't count

>>714405889bro what?
did you misquote?
>>714405827>as I understood it this thing was foolproof (it's tied to your EU identification), how can it still be faked?Because the website offers two methods of signing it:
1) via an electronic identification system, which will just grab your relevant data from your country's systems and use that to identify you;
2) by manual introduction of said data.
I assume most people use 2), which can be faked or inserted incorrectly (you mistype a number or address and your signature is thrown out). Considering most retards can't read or write properly, it's not that far fetched that a large number of signatures will be invalidated.

There's some rumors going around that PirateSoftware wrote a programme to bot the signatures so that the initiatives get invalidated after verification is finalised and momentum is reduced after the one million signature mark.
Is it possible to ask the EC to check signatures before the end of the initiative?
>>714406632He saw reports, which is good and prudent. Better safe than sorry.
>>714406570You donโt get like 300k signatures in the span of like 2 days without it being obviously botted

>>714406754So we're ignoring the massive push for it?
>>714406701No, validations handed off to each individual country after the initiative finishes, it's not even handled by the EC.
>>714406691How funny would it be if this was true but they don't actually bother checking the signatures so really he helped actually pass it instead of just getting people to talk about it.
>>714404517>hundreds of thousands of signatures are possibly bottedOh no who could have possibly seen this coming
I make games and then kill them, there's nothing you can do to stop me.
>Somehow Anthem is just NOW shutting down its servers
Part of me wonders if they're just now doing it because they're scared of SKG making them have to release an offline version
>>714404517These are signatures, not votes. I seriously doubt the authenticity (or lack there of) of the signatures themselves is that important. Not saying it's not important, but it's not like breaing the milestone count means an automatic win with new laws being passed, it's literally only a threshold for the ECI to start talking about it. Which they could do even without a proposal.
>>714406691>PirateSoftware wrote a programmelol
>>714406858I wonder how many countries won't actually bother checking the validity of their signatures and just greenlight it.

>>714406196I'll bet they sacked him just for being an unlikeable bullish cunt all the time and the anti-SKG thing is just their pretence.
>>714406873>>714404517How was this not the first thing at the forefront of everyone's mind when this started? There should be a better way to prevent that.

>>714405624I doubt it's being verified on the spot, that would be highly impractical.
>>714406820>dude pewdiepie made like a community postThereโs also that fact that there are a lot of people who want this to fail and it takes 5 seconds to make a bot that fills out the manual version of the petition that only really asks for name, address, DOB. But also people like Pewdiepie has a bunch of dumb young kids who probably donโt know that botting or spamming the petition with fake sigs is counterproductive instead of helpful
>>714407061Some countries do and some don't.
>>714407092Ross mentioned it in the very first video though. He had no hopes of succeeding because he needed >120% votes, and getting to 100% was already a nearly impossible task.
500k of those signatures are me
>>714405893>It's like drawing a penis on a voting sheet. They'll count you as someone who voted, but your vote won't countThat depends on how you draw it. If it's clearly attributable to one candidate then the vote is valid, it doesn't have to be a cross or similar. The only thing you can't use is a question mark.
>>714407092normally it should only allow you to vote through eID but yuropoor servers shat the bed really hard and the verification system seems to be down for places like italy and whatnot
>>714406930it's not like anybody is going to miss it
We have gotten like 30k signatures in a single day. Yeah this is spoofed. The good news is that in at this rate we will easily achieve 50% more signatures than we need, but will it be enough? And who the fuck is doing this? Do you not even need an EU IP?
I am a software engineer who worked for Blizzard Entertainment. After running a few tests, my results are showing 340,881 signatures that are confirmed botted.
Please report this to athorities and have this fraudulent petition taken down ASAP.

>>714406575>Concord died>Hyenas was aborted>Marathon was similarly cancelled>Fairgames is possibly cancelled as well>"We totally need this"You are some ecelebs onahole.
This all happened because Ross Game Dungeon show he could not play 2000s and early 2010s MMOs.
Then convinced himself this was a good idea even when MS themselves reverted to single player games and most of the games that are "loss" could be easily recreated in Unreal since none of them did anything particularly good.
The scummiest thing I can think off would be how Bungie themselves destroyed Destiny in that the entire campaign was erased and it is currently unplayable and gay shit like SKG does not prevent this from happening in the future nor accounts for malicious compliance.
This is all eceleb semen slurping from people who only consume youtube content.
>>714407861No because the bots backed up by huge corpos won't get in trouble, but normal people faking shit will. That's how it works

>>714407370You should spearhead a new ECI petition that aims to change that. Ross said a year ago that a 200k cushion was needed because of invalid signatures. It's something that happened with all previous ones.

I'm more amazed by the fact that 100k people care about pewdiepie in 2025
>>714408057No, they want live-service games to have an "end of life plan". I don't know what that really means though. Maybe the devs need to make it clearer, or maybe their games cannot cost more than X if they will stop working at some point (barring multiplayer games simply not having enough players)
>>714406820Ross said it: signing wasn't slowing down in the night, which is extremely suspicious. Charlie's video got 3kk views, but it amounted to 30k signatures a day for just a couple of days. The videos that came after had less views and, realistically, much greater audience overlap, but suddenly we started getting 150k signatures a day. A pewdiepie post (not even video) and jackseptik video with less than a million views would not be able to achieve that.
Now, what are the chances that the EU petitions website has some poor checking systems if not outright security flaws? Don't you people remember how 4chan used to break all polls and got Moot as Time person of the year or something?
We can pretty much assume that the last three days of signatures have been fake. July 1, 2 and 3. We were around 700k before that, and well, we can hope that we've gathered some 100k in the last three days after all. That places us at around 800k signatures, which means that reaching some 1M actual signatures is still possible if we keep pushing this month. The official numbers are pretty much meaningless at this point, so they should be ignored.

However, to really figure out the extent of the botting we need to take a look at the rates of the different countries. Are there any countries where there isn't *any* simple way to input bullshit? If there has been an exponential growth there as well, then maybe I'm overthinking this.

I think people severely overestimate the degree of "ITS OVER" here.
The whole idea that people would reach 1 million and stop was always retarded because that's not how humans fucking work. We're herd animals, we see that 1 million people signed this thing - we cave under peer2peer pressure and sign it too, even if its actually botted and there are only like 700k people.
Retards botting this initiative, whether that would be Thorcord, or some other entity, have given a very stipid PR boost because now people will hear of it, see it, and be more inclined to sign it themselves since thats what the herd seems to be into. I think the buffer would be very easy to reach, and if the number get botted into even more insane amounts - it would probably attract the eye of the EU to do a preemptive check.
All in all - This stupid sabotage will most likely not work whatsoever

>>714410781Hard disagree. The initiative wasn't as controversial and Ross quickly saturated the little pockets of the internet where he has organic reach. Charlie also got some 3 million views, as a matter of fact Ross said that he got less signatures than expected (5% of video views, as opposed to 15% that he got on the initial announcement).
It all makes sense, except for July 1, 2 and 3.

>>714410178This. We could only be totally sure every vote is real and valid if it forced signing with the eID.
>>714411092How different are the two options? Is using the eID significantly easier to quicker?
Can we assume that whenever possible, people would rather opt to use the eID?
I highly suspect the DDOS on the EC site isn't a DDOS but rather thousands of people using the tracker.

Pewds post got *some* attention (167K likes, which suggests ~2M views if the like to view ratio is the same as on his latest video) and he also got some news coverage. But it's hard to believe that was enough for that kind of spike.
Be honest. Did any of you fags actually cast your vote or not?
>>714411006>The pewds shoutout is the *only* significant thing that happenedThat's where you're wrong, once the signatures started dropping after the intial bump several popular youtubers made videos on the topic such as the act man and jacksepticeye. Sounds like just more of an excuse to keep spreading awareness. 2 weeks ago I pretty much thought it was already over, now it's at least getting some attention. Don't see any point in doomposting.
This shit would have been over last month if the UK could have voted
>>714409854If your country recognises it as a crime you're fucked.
Every single gaming youtuber in world, including the biggest ones, covered it the last couple of days. Most of the votes are real, unironically.
The fog of war isn't bad, it keeps the urgency. We are going to get 1.5 million easily in 28 days.
