The fallout fandom has been at war with itself ever since Fallout 2. The main conflict being over Bethesda's handling of the Fallout IP but each side has massive amounts of infighting. Combined this with Fallout's history of legal troubles, host of controversies, shit like the Frontier among other things and the fallout fandom is an active warzone. Starfield only threw more flame onto the fire and it's not even a Fallout title.

not the franchise, but Dark Souls 2 specifically.
It's an objectively bad game but there will be real people who defend it and even go as far as to say it is their favorite Souls game. Crazy shit.
