So I got KSP and im having a blast. Currently doing the tutorial and playing around a little in sandbox mode.

This is extra exciting because im 32, and with time i lost interest in gaming. Basically now i only play SnowRunner on xbox occasionally, and even more occasionally UnReal World on pc (i always go back to UrW). KSP is the new addition.

Get this game, its 4eu on steam rn, a little less than 12 with the DLC. Lots of things to learn but super satisfying.

Any KSP players here to share their stories with the game, or recommend things to new players, are welcome.

KSP fucking rocks!

campaign mode is a fun addition but the original sandbox mode is the best sandbox ever made, because it still has difficulty: although you have access to infinite resources, you are still tasked with the challenge of correctly using them, because a gazillion engines strapped together will not reach the moon

just follow a few youtubers and try to recreate what they do in vanilla before moving to mods

I think that when you go to the Mun and back you've already seen most of what the game has to offer, which is why most players drop it at that stage. Orbital mechanics are not that deep, at least for a game. I dropped when I went to Duna and back

Sandbox is fun but holy fuck the campaign mode feels like ass. I hate doing some stupid tourist trip to gain a few bucks. Sometimes it's not even worth the cost in the first place.

Two mods I highly recommend are Kerbal engineer and Trajectories.
The first one gives you a lot more information on your ship, and you can choose what type of info depending on your playstyle.
The second one gives you the future trajectory of you ship in the atmosphere. Both should be vanilla imo.
It's a great game that I love very much. The replayability is insane, I have 1.5k hours in it, mostly sandbox.
SSTOs, reusables, planes in general, interplanetary ships, rovers, landers, helicopters, satellites and constellations, all the cool scientific concepts you learn over time, mass and fuel optimization, etc etc
The few major flaws, to me are the performance that could be better, the janky build system and the lack of potential logistics you could have with all your vehicles. Both science and money are too easy to farm and the fun of discovery slowly disappears. I know I'm a faggot for complaining about a game past 300+hours but I would have loved a true vanilla endgame.
Use a delta-v map, please. You don't need to suffer. Also look into Kitten Space agency, looks promising after the ksp2 debacle.
