Because MOBAs are dogshit. If you have a bad team you are cooked and will have a terrible unfun experience and playing with randoms makes that happen 50% of the time regardless of how good you are. Having a 20 minute match of losing is not fun for anyone involved on your team. This genre isn't doing great because of that, you only see League and DOTA due to a sunk cost fallacy. Even those aren't the giants they used to be. DOTA still is popular with Russians for some reason but League isn't the titan it was. It's a failed genre. People don't want to waste time losing for half an hour.

What's the point? It won't be as good as Paragon was anyway, and that game was a lot of wasted potential to begin with. Nobody wants to do something cool with equipment like the card system, they just want boring MOBA gearing.
