It's going fine, they trimmed some of the fat but as far as the platform is going it looks healthy and is getting more dev support than ever before. I didn't think I'd ever seen genshin on xbox, or the new final fantasy games but they're on xbox now. Hell, even Sony are bending the knee and putting 1st party exclusives onto xbox with helldivers. Devs really want those xbox sales which is contrary to what some people would want you to think of the platform.

Sony is fearing Microsoft going full software first and integrating Gamepass and a future where people would play their Steam library on their Xbox hardware, the same way they play Gamepass on PC, it's the same hardware.

Ok but that still doesn't explain why those publishers are porting games to xbox that up to recently looked like they'd never get a port. And in the case of helldivers, Sony didn't just port it, they got their premier porting studio (nixxes) to port it rather than the studio who made the actual game which means there's some real intent and investment by Sony into the xbox port. Makes you wonder if they'd use a studio for just one game or if nixxes are in the process of porting the entire slate of playstation games to xbox now. Either way, xbox is getting more support than ever before despite some people desperately wanting to push a narrative that the platform is dead and publishers don't want anything to do with it. There's obviously something we're all missing here.
