Because they released that dreadful fucking comic and the second game. The second game wasn't even that bad gameplay wise but man did they fuck up the entire setting.

I'm still hanging on to the cope that Zeus let himself be consumed on purpose or that the one we got in the second game was an evil twin. Maybe both.

It's ironic that the first game had zero comedy relief in the story but plenty of fun goofy-looking unlockable moves, while the second game has plenty of humor but those moves are nowhere to be seen
