It's better than the PS1 trilogy in one aspect: the soundtrack. It might be the best soundtrack of the franchise.

The hamster ball levels were fun but other than that I didn't enjoy it that much

The soundtrack was created by the british duo Andy Blythe/Marten Joustra, who did the music for a lot of Traveller's Tales games back then

Franchise was doing OK without Naughty Dog at first. Not amazing, but OK.... and then Twinsanity happened.
