I bought a big, expensive TV for gaming and I'm starting to have regrets because I don't like it. I'm so pissed.

I have a small room, and the guy who mounted it decided to get really high and mounted it too high on the wall. It's too late to do anything.

You know you can just unmount it, fix the wall and mount it again yourself, right?
You have a drill and tools right?

My bro already came over with his tools and redid it three times and every time it was either crooked or too high. I don't know what to do anymore. It's making me depressed knowing I spent almost 2k for a TV that was too big for my room when I still operate on a shitty laptop.

Jesus christ you only need a ruler and small pencil markings on the wall, also, most TV mount brackets have small adjustment screws or you can just put some wood/material to fix a little crooked install

Unfortunately the bracket I have doesn't allow the TV to be lowered or raised without un-drilling it from the wall.
And it's hard to ask for a fourth time to get your shit fixed when every single time it's been a hack job. I'm so over this shit.

You do it. Don’t involve the friend.

Just need a drill and a pencil. You don’t even really need a ruler if you’ve got something long and straight enough.

It’s really fun doing it yourself.

>buy stud finder
>buy drill
>buy leveler
>ask for help lifting the TV and mounting on a different wall (again)
>now there's drill holes where the old TV used to be
>buy spackle and find out the exact paint color that was used to paint my wall to paint over the spackle
>then I have to buy a loveseat or couch or whatever to actually sit in it
>all so that I can play emulated games on an OLED
It's just so much work, and I bought this thing months ago and haven't even used it because I don't like looking up. I can't even comfortably watch a TV show. I tried bringing a bench into my room because it's the only thing that elevates me high enough to the TV, but it's extremely uncomfortable. And the worst part is, everyone gaslights me and says that everyone has their TVs mounted high, but they're not the ones that have to actually use the thing. It's so fucking frustrating and think about it every day how I was basically gaslit into buying a fucking OLED.

Me too. I think I got ptsd from some parts of Mario Kart that apparently somebody more familiar with who is and isn't an enemy to certain drivers would cope better. No regrets.

I enjoy smaller monitors for gaming. People call me crazy, they throw tomatoes at me, but I'm the only one that's sane.

God, I'm sane.
