I commute around 45 mins.
Overwhelmingly I just listen to music and look out the window of the train, but I've bought a Switch when these long commutes started and I mostly play Monster Hunter (Gen Ultimate) on it.

It's also very convenient to boot and play due to emulators having save states. You don't have to reach a checkpoint or something in the game every time you have to turn it off or wait for shit to load or sit through some splash screens on start.
Also I have like 1000 games on this thing so even if I don't want to play something specific I can just load something random and fuck around while I wait for stuff IRL to happen.
The controls kinda suck though, especially the sticks and the bumper buttons. But I can live with that.
