The game is bad, sadly. I love the characters, but it's the most wasted potential in a Platform fighter since Brawl.
Dan Completely changed the soul of Rivals 1 to appeal to retarded Melee and PM fags, and we'll never have a Rivals 2 with Rivals 1 neutral game unless someone mods it to have such.
