Who says it deserves to be saved? It deserves to burn, and the only sad thing about it getting burned is that a lot of good developers are going to lose their job. AAA games deserve to die out though.

Cheaper games with a narrow scope made by smaller teams. You can't charge 50 bucks for them either because they won't be comparable to AAA games of old.
The issue is that big investors will NEVER greenlight something new and risky. These people probably have a better chance of crowdfunding, especially if they can get a demo or actual gameplay example ready to show off.

People want videogames. People want non-shit videos videogames. Stop trying to be fucking fortnite

Sigil was good. He didn't need a full team for that, but it was just a reminder that someone needed to keep him the fuck off Team Deathmatch because we've been deprived of 30 years of Romero maps, because he is a legit good mapper, in an industry that fucking sucks at it.

>3 years and his game isn't finished
That's why his studio collapsed, he should have had a launch date and ample trailers with public gameplay demos by now, but none of that exists. John Romero is in the wrong here.

Those companies going bankrupt is literally just the free market doing its thing.
Hopefully, complaining about the state of the market will not save them, except if they manage to get government handouts.
