something that annoys me about the whole smash modding scene is that:

1.- the overall documentation to make content is sparse at best and nonexistant at worst. specially on the Brawl side of things despite that being the first game with a massive modding community.

2.- that no one has been able to figure out how to create a 'blank' smash build:
-just 1 or two characters
-a couple stages
-the base game modes.

so people could create their own games from scratch, all known modded builds are directly based from the original game and still use the original game assets.

Yeah I'm not a fan of MUGEN-esque roster building. IMO Smash modding should move to an a la carte model (I know there's more widespread options than just PMEX/REMIX). That's what I appreciate about 64 Remix: despite some missteps, thsre's an overarching vision instead of a modding team just throwing in the kitchen sink to make everyone happy.
